As I’m wrapping things up here in Los Angeles (sob!), I’ve been soaking up every spare moment by revisiting all of my favorite places and trying out a few new-to-me spots that have always been on my list. One of these places was The Warehouse — a funky, tropical, pirate-infused restaurant located just down the road from our apartment.
The best way I can describe The Warehouse is by saying that it’s somewhere between Disneyland’s Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise. It’s full of chintzy details, cheesy hand-painted signs, palm trees and bamboo decor.
So basically, it’s the best.
There’s something about places like this that just feel immediately fun. Like you’re vacationing!
The restaurant is located directly on the Marina, so water views (and photogenic docks) are par for the course.
Beautiful, no!? It was a bit chilly but we wrapped up in our scarves and jackets and buckled down, because the view was just too gorgeous to skip.
Any drink that’s flaming is an immediate must in a place like this. Especially if it comes in a bowl the size of your head. (Though admittedly, I’m not sure how strong the punch was — I think they may have tamed it a little for us).
I ordered the crab stuffed salmon, which came highly recommended by our waitress, and it was delicious! But I’ll be honest, you almost don’t go to The Warehouse for the food. It’s an experience, mate. ;)
