Last weekend in the midst of House of Cards marathoning, a few friends came over to fire up the grill. We scarfed down hot dogs and Brussels sprouts (a strange combo I know, but this wasn’t a planned-ahead shindig!) and then decided that before turning on yet another episode, we’d better do something productive.
Being the good friends that they are, they agreed to help us deep clean our little home! I’m still not sure exactly how we convinced them.
I’m usually pretty good about keeping our place presentable and clean, but every once in a while you have to scrub all of the nooks and really get your hands dirty, so to speak. And between all of our travel over the last few months, it hadn’t happened in too long!
So we divided and conquered. One of us wiped down the fridge, another dusted, while another gave the shower a good scrub, and yet another magic erased all of those pesky little marks from the walls.
And here’s the unreal part, guys — we got done in like an hour. Less, even! Deep cleaning, done in less than an hour! Everything looked shiny and clean and new with hardly any effort! We joked that we should always help each other clean. It’s so much less painful that way! I think our friends have a visit from the cleaning fairies coming soon. :)
Do you have any friends that you could trade cleaning days with?! Is this totally weird? Haha! I feel like this is one of those activities that takes your friendship to a new level. ;)
P.S. Above photograph of our new typographic maps from Axis Maps. They were the finishing touch on our freshly-cleaned apartment!
