Lately I’ve been making more of a conscious effort to use natural beauty products in my day-to-day look. I’m certainly not throwing out my bag and starting fresh, but as I replace products, I’m looking for natural alternatives that work just as well, while also helping me reduce exposure to harmful chemicals.
Here are a few of my favorite finds, which are more than just good for a natural product — they’re great across the board.
I’ll be honest in saying that before using this palette, I hardly used eye shadow at all. It just felt like an unnecessary step in my makeup routine (which I try to keep streamlined) that usually made me feel over-done. But this palette, which features rich, highly-pigmented neutrals in a range of tones, is perfect for everyday use. It’s easy to apply, and the texture of the shadows is extremely smooth. I have been using it every day for several weeks and love the subtle boost that it gives my eyes.
When I wear lipstick (which is often), I tend to go bright. I have a full array of nearly neon shades in my drawer. But during a recent trip to Sephora, I tried on a more neutral shade of Bite lipstick and loved the more subdued, clean look. I went for the “travel” size because I love that it features two shades, fig and date, and love even more that it’s application is silky and it nourishes my lips. For the record, they also have a brighter duo stick that’s equally pretty if you’re looking to go bold. :)
I’ve started using this body oil after my bubble baths. I love that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy, despite its ultra-hydrating nature. It doesn’t hurt that it smells light and fresh either. (As a side note: I love The Honest Company for cleaning products as well. Everything is extra non-toxic and works like a charm).
Do you use natural beauty products? Any favorites? I’m looking to add a few more to my collection. ;)
