On Saturday night, we met up with a few friends at Urth, an organic cafe known for their exquisite selection of teas and coffee, home-cooked food, and celeb sightings. Urth is the kind of place where you can order a ginormous latte and a sizeable quiche and still leave feeling like you’ve done something good for yourself.
In other words, it’s the best.
After passing an impressive array of desserts (I chose the carrot cake for a to-go purchase, just in case you’re wondering), we sidled up to the register to place our order.
I always order the same thing at Urth, because it’s just that good. Chicken tamales and a steaming French press of lavender lemonade, please.
You might be tempted to order the medium, but do yourself a favor and pay the extra buck for the large. You’ll thank me later. I’m pretty sure that stuff is what gives angels their wings.
I’ve gotten really good at pouring and smiling at the same time. Just sayin’.
Now would you look at these beauties?
The greens are tossed in a light lemony dressing, which I love. But really, it’s all about the sweet corn chicken tamales with their spicy sauce. I swear I could eat them every day they’re just so delicious. They even have a cheese variety for all of you veggies out there! :)
We didn’t see any celebrities, but I’ll admit that I didn’t exactly have my eyes peeled. I was a bit preoccupied with my lavender lemonade… ahem. ;)
