When I was home for the holidays, my sister and I ran together a handful of times. It’s so much easier to run with a partner, right? We’d head out on the trails (or around our neighborhood) and chit chat our way through a breezy run. And by breezy, I mean cold, but regardless.
It was so much fun that she somehow talked me into running a 10K with her over her birthday weekend, which is in late February.
So here we are, nearly mid-January, and I’m still following my usual 2-mile route outside our apartment. It’s time to step it up!
I’m not going for speed (at all), but I would like to be able to keep up a steady pace and enjoy my time with my sister. I’ve written out a loose training plan on my calendar, which I’m excited to follow in the coming weeks. Type-A bonus — I can erase each day as it’s completed! :)
Are you a runner? It’s still weird for me to think of myself as a “runner,” but I do go jogging fairly regularly.
