Hello from Chicago!
We spent last night enjoying a leisurely meal at Range, a farm-to-table restaurant located in Chicago’s Lincoln Park district. They won me over immediately with their cinnamon walnut toddy, which was perfect for warming my chilly winterized self.
We started with the pimiento cheese bites and the pork shoulder. Though I loved the sweetness of the pork, the creamy polenta garnish really made the dish. For dinner, I dug into a juicy grass-fed beef burger. Keeping it light. ;) After a long chilly day of travel, there’s nothing quite so delicious.
Finally, we ended the night with apple crostata drizzled with raspberry syrup. This may have been my favorite part of the whole meal. There are two types of people in the world: chocolate dessert people, and fruit dessert people. I’m one of the latter.
Today we’re heading out to do some serious sight-seeing! Any recommendations? We’ve already got deep dish pizza, Wrigley Field, and Eataly on the list.
P.S. I’m sharing my favorite tips for building a wardrobe you love over on Simplicity, Relished, today! See you there. ;)
