I get my hair highlighted every few months, which I love. I always leave the salon feeling refreshed and confident. However, because my hair is prone to drying out, those highlights can leave it feeling dehydrated and brittle.
I’ve recently come up with the perfect solution! Before I go for a run (which for me is 3-4 times a week) I slather my hair in coconut oil. I focus on the ends, which get the most dry, and then twist it up into a bun on top of my head, and no one is the wiser. It smells delicious and serves as a fantastic deep conditioner for my 30-minute workout.
My hair always feels better when I wash it out in the shower after my run — it’s made all of the difference!
