This morning we woke up to several inches of snow, which was a welcome wintery change. Days like this are rare in Seattle and absolutely unheard of in Los Angeles, so I was excited to get outside and soak up the magic.
I was wearing this coat during our day of sightseeing in DC (because let’s be real, there are only so many winter outfits one can fit in a carry-on), and a sweet older gentleman in the museum elevator told me I looked sharp. I was beaming for the rest of the ride up to the fourth floor.
On an unrelated note, I think it’s so pretty when falling snow catches in your hair. Like a little present from Mother Nature. I wish I could freeze it that way, before it melts and things get messy. :)
A few weeks ago I snagged this infinity scarf and beanie from J.Crew Factory, thinking they might be nice for this trip. Well. Nice doesn’t cover it– they’ve been essential. They’re on super sale right now, just in case you’re interested! Grab ’em before the snow hits your area!
Tonight (which is Wednesday night, actually) we’re going out for pho and then getting some sleep before our Turkey Trot in the morning! We’re running eight whole K’s friends, eight whole K’s! Or about five miles in normal people talk. Wish me luck. :)
P.S. Just so you know, I’m thankful for you — sweet readers! I love hearing from you, reading your comments, and talking with you in person. Your support means the world.
