Are you an accessories kind of person? I am. I love delicate jewelry, structured purses, and… evidently pink exercise gear! Here’s a roundup of my favorite workout accessories. I seem to reach for these almost every day– whether I’m going on a run or a bike ride, or I’m in my favorite barre class.
1. Camelbak Bottle: Not all water bottles are created equal, my friends. Especially when you’re running on a treadmill next to a particularly handsome boy, and trying to keep your balance as you take a much-needed gulp of water. We’ve all been there. This water bottle prevents unintentional splashing, and I swear that I actually drink more water when I use it. It’s the straw theory!
2. Polar FT7 Heart Rate Monitor: This heart rate monitor is cute and very easy to use. I wear it about half the time that I work out. Though I don’t love wearing a chest strap (which isn’t pictured), I do love that I know exactly how hard I’m working, especially during interval workouts. There is something really satisfying about knowing how many calories you burn during your morning sweat sesh.
3. Fitbit One: The FitBit One tracks calories burned, steps taken, stairs climbed, and how well you sleep, in addition to nutritional stats, if you choose. I input my barre classes afterward in the FitBit app, using the caloric stats from my heart rate monitor. Though the FitBit doesn’t provide information that’s as accurate as what a heart rate monitor can measure, it’s awesome motivation to keep moving and focused on fitness because you wear it all the time. I have been much more aware of my activity levels and progress since I’ve gotten mine– I’d highly recommend it!
4. Nathan Super 5K Universal Armband: I’ve had a few different armbands, and this is by far the best I’ve found. It’s comfortable, very adjustable, and it’s easy to slip your cell in and out– even while biking! It also has reflective panels, which are nice if you’re running at night.
Any fitness gear you’d recommend? I’m always on the hunt. :)
Have a fun Saturday!
