“Corner Office” referring to the corner of our bedroom, of course. :) Tim and I share a one-bedroom apartment, which for the most part, poses no problems. Our apartment is spacious, so it doesn’t feel like we’re falling over each other. The main challenge that comes with a one-bedroom is the office space.
We thought about sharing a desk (pretty seriously!) but then he started talking about extra-large monitors and fancy speaker systems, and I brought up my candle obsession, and that idea flew out the window. Instead, we set up separate spaces– mine is in the corner of our bedroom.
I spend a fair amount of time in my little office, since I really am a desk worker at heart. I tried the whole sprawled-out-on-my-bed thing in college, and found that instead of studying, I just… fell asleep. So my desk space is important to me! I prefer a colorful, functional, clutter-less space where I can drink iced coffee and write until the cows come home. Or the seagulls, in our case. :)
Here’s my latest update!
I’m a huge fan of this Satechi Desk mat, which functions as a writing surface and a mouse pad.
This pencil mug was a gift from my freshman year roommate, Mali, on my first day of college. Awww. I’m sentimental. I can’t help it! That mug and I have been through a lot together.
I used this paint chip calendar as inspiration for my own, which I love! I ended up “laminating” each paint chip with packing tape, so that I can use dry erase marker and avoid having to redo the calendar at the end of each month. Though I keep a more detailed Google Calendar (which I’m notoriously attached to), I love having a visual reminder of upcoming posts and engagements.
Are you a desk person, or more of a nomad?
