Are you a runner? I can’t really say I am, but I’ve gotten more and more into it over the past few months. At first, I just wanted to tone up my stems a bit, and I knew that I was happier when I exercised regularly. So I took a page out of my sister’s book. You might remember Nina— she just finished a half marathon. She’s the sporty spice of our little duo.
I’m happy to report a bit of progress! Though I still look like a dancer while I run (don’t let me fool you– this is not a flattering thing), I run fairly frequently, and am seeing a lot of progress in terms of endurance. The other day I actually had a girlfriend ask me if I’d been running, because she noticed a bit of leggy definition! It was as if the Exercise Gods had slipped her a twenty, I swear.
One of the biggest things I learned early on is the concept of jogging. You can go much further if you just take it a bit slower! It sounds so basic, but tweaking my speed expectations improved my entire relationship with running.
Have a good Monday!
