This weekend has been both relaxing and fun, which in my book makes it a win. We spent Friday night at one of our favorite restaurants (more below) and then saw the Giants win at Dodger stadium. Yesterday we helped a friend move into his apartment and then finished off the night with a little Netflix love.
One of the best parts about living in Los Angeles is the endless supply of delicious food. Truly, LA food knocks it out of the park– and not just with the expensive Zagat-rated restaurants. Food trucks and street carts provide some pretty mouth-watering options, too. We’re constantly hunting for our favorite local spots, and a few months ago we stumbled upon Taqueria Los Anaya. We’ve been back no less than four times since.
Their family recipes include flavorful pico de gallo, carnitas burritos, and crispy taquitos. They do the classics, but they do them oh so well. Did I mention that they serve Mexican breakfast all day? They’re the best.
Perhaps equally as important as the food is the truly home-grown atmosphere. Nearly everyone who works there is part of the family, and there are moments where it feels more like you’re eating in a friend’s dining room than in a restaurant.
P.S. I can’t go without wishing a very Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, who is one of the most compassionate, wise, hilarious women I know. What she lacks in technological savvy, she makes up for ten-fold with her heart. :)
