I kind of enjoy the annual ritual of spring cleaning. I love filling bags with once-loved items for Goodwill, clearing out our space and decluttering. It always feels so good once it’s done.
I’ve been thinking lately about simplifying other areas of my life as well. One of the biggest time-sucks for me is my email, which seems to need constant attention. After a little bit of research, I came upon Unroll.me. It basically serves as an organizer for your email inbox. It compiles a list of all of your email subscriptions, and then gives you the option to leave each email in your inbox, “roll it up,” or unsubscribe. The emails that you choose to roll up become part of one email that you receive once a day. Here’s what that email looks like:
Isn’t that awesome? I love that I can scroll through all of the ads I get each day in thirty seconds flat. I now receive emails only from the subscription services that I’m actually interested in, and if I want to know more, I can just click on the picture of the email and it will pull up the original. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and I really love how much it simplifies things.
I can’t recommend it enough– my only warning is that you make sure you don’t accidentally roll up anything that’s not an ad. It would be all too easy to let something important slip through your fingers. :)
Happy spring cleaning!
